Firefighter saves cat via mouth to mouth

In New Bedford, Mass. today a firefighter named Al Machado saved a cat by giving him mouth to mouth. Here is the video. This almost guarantees him a guest spot on the late night talk shows.

Believe it or not this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Here's a story (link opens in new window) from last year where this was also done. However, they used a mask. Al didn't bother with such contraptions. When asked how it was Al replied that it tasted "like fur."

You could also ask Halle Berry. Yes, the actual plot line in Catwoman was that she got her cat like powers from being given mouth to mouth by a cat(go to 1:56 in the clip).

I wonder if the kitty was faking for some sweet firefighter action like Squints in The Sandlot(3:25 into the clip).

Does Girl Talk just push play?

Apparently he does mix tracks live on stage according to an
interview in the New Yorker (link opens in a new window).

Basically he has compiled a bunch of loops taken out of songs that are ready made to be put together on stage.

Also here is an older video I remember seeing back when he was first getting big. It gives a little closer look at the programs he is using. Audiomulch and Cooledit.
